Dance Is Life Juneteenth Celebration at Bethesda Fountain with Natasha Diggs

For the Season Opener on Monday, Juneteenth, there was no better backdrop to celebrate liberation than the fountain. The original location for Dance Is Life, Latin Hustle was danced here in the 1970s, following its creation by teenagers in the South Bronx, most of whom were Puerto Rican and Black. Many of those same teenagers can be seen dancing with us decades later, at this NYC fountain of youth.
